This position is a key member of our body shop team at Geneva Equipment. We are looking for the right person who likes working on semi-trucks, has a positive attitude, and enjoys a team-focused environment. This position will report to Larry Nicholson, our Shop Manager. Larry is a smart, fair, and genuine guy with a great deal of mechanical and painting experience.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with day-to-day management of body shop operations, scheduling and workflow

Supervise, support and lead technicians and shop personnel

Help prioritize and assign work orders to meet production and delivery timeliness

Ensure all repairs meet company, manufacturer and safety standards

Support estimating, parts coordination and job progress tracking

Communicate effectively with customers, vendors and internal departments

Enforce safety procedures, shop policies and housekeeping standards

Assist with training, coaching and performance management

Act as Manager when required

Maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years experience in a heavy duty or commercial vehicle body shop

Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Strong knowledge of heavy duty body repair, welding, fabrication and paint processes

Ability to understand repair estimates and work orders

Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills

Comfortable using shop management systems and basic computer applications

Valid driver's license required (CDL considered an asset)

Team player with a positive attitude

18 years or older

High school diploma or GED

Capable of physical labor. Must at times lift up to 50lbs.
