PPS is seeking a Heavy Equipment Assembly Technician at our Portland, OR facility.  

The employee will be working in the shop operating overhead cranes, forklifts and a variety of tools to assemble forestry machines.

This is a full-time, permanent, direct hire role which offers agenerous benefit package including but not limited to 401K, medical, dental and vision insurance, vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, and discretionary profit sharing.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operation of heavy equipment
• Operation of forklift for loading, unloading, or moving pieces of machines.
• Use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, cordless impact wrenches, torque wrenches to complete basic mechanical task.
• Assembly heavy equipment through written or verbal instruction.

Requirements:

• Basic mechanical skills required.
• Provide basic hand tools and toolbox, ( most will be provided).
• Work in a safe and efficient manner; obey all rules and regulations outlined in employee policy manual.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all team members.
• Work overtime as required.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Must pass usual and customary pre-employment drug screen.
