You’ll troubleshoot everything from shoddy air conditioning to vehicle electrical systems, conducting preventive maintenance and structural repairs along the way. Responsibilities: • Generating repair estimates, timelines, and process documents for automotive work • Keep organized vehicle repairs, maintenance, and service history records. • Identify and address mechanical problems and malfunction codes found in the vehicle's electrical system, mechanical systems, and electronic systems • Provide preventive maintenance work like replacing brake pads, adjusting fluids, rotating tires, completing oil changes, and servicing the air conditioning • Conduct test drives, inspections, and diagnostic tests to determine automotive malfunctions • Team up with the manager and other mechanics to diagnose and service equipment coming in for repairs. • On-call responsibilities for Irrigation/Frost Protection and supporting the head mechanic with engine performance during these times. • Work with all types of equipment ranging from small engines to heavy equipment such as excavators, tractors, pick-ups, irrigation engines, and pumps. • Driven by the opportunity to problem-solve various projects and challenges throughout the year. • Support team with maintenance and repair of the cranberry receiving station for harvest activities. • Team-oriented and growth mindset. Qualifications: • Preferred education is an associate’s degree from a technical school or relevant automotive program and/or ASE certification • Required state-issued driver’s license • High school diploma or GED equivalent required • Excellent work ethic, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills are desired • Experience and manual dexterity using hand tools and other equipment is needed • Also willing to train young energetic driven individuals with previous mechanical experience. Compensation: $22 - $27 hourly
