Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Immediately report any discrepancies to the Fleet Manager • Ensures compliance with all equipment compliance • Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles and equipment • Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns • Conducts safety checks on equipment • Completes required paperwork utilizing the fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times • Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record. (CDL preferred) • Must be at least 18 years of age • Legally eligible to work in the United States • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check • High school diploma or equivalent (postsecondary education in diesel engine repair preferred) • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic) and their components • Proficiency in utilizing diagnostic equipment and specialized tools • ASE certifications are often preferred or may be required within a certain timeframe • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tasks involving heavy lifting, working in tight spaces, and using various tools • Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Health Insurance • Dental Insurance • Vision Insurance • Life Insurance • Employee assistance program Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly
