    Description

    ***MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING ON ROAD CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT TO BE CONSIDERED***

    Essential Job Functions

    • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of road construction equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, graders, asphalt pavers, compactors, wheel loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and haul trucks.
    • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
    • Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.
    • Maintain accurate service logs, repair records, and parts usage.
    • Collaborate with operators, foremen, and supervisors to identify mechanical concerns and schedule necessary repairs.
    • Ensure compliance with all company safety standards and DOT/OSHA requirements.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 3+ years’ experience repairing heavy equipment in road construction or related industries.
    • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems.
    • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
    • Must have own basic set of tools.
    • Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required.

    Experience and Education Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel or heavy equipment mechanics preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use a smart device for reporting and documentation.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift 50+ lbs., bend, crawl, and work in varying outdoor conditions.
    • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

    Compensation

    $30/hour (DOE) with overtime opportunities and benefits package.
