Crane & Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Crane & Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a fleet of cranes, boom trucks, commercial trucks, trailers, and related equipment. This position requires strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a focus on safety, quality, and minimizing equipment downtime.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brake systems, and drivetrains.

Perform preventative maintenance on cranes, boom trucks, commercial trucks, and trailers.

Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues.

Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and manufacturer standards.

Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately.

Respond to equipment breakdowns in the field when necessary.

Operate diagnostic equipment and specialty tools.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Communicate effectively with drivers, operators, and management regarding equipment status and repair needs.

Qualifications

Experience repairing commercial trucks, cranes, or heavy equipment preferred.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brakes.

Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.

Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.

Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.

Crane inspection or crane maintenance experience is highly desirable.

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
