Demolition Magicians is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with extensive experience in structural demolition. This role requires someone who can confidently take the lead on site work, operate multiple machines with precision, and manage day-to-day project logistics with minimal oversight.
What You’ll Do:
Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other demolition equipment with expert-level proficiency
Perform structural demolition on residential homes, commercial buildings, and complex teardown projects
Manage onsite logistics, including equipment movement, debris separation, haul-out coordination, staging areas, and workflow sequencing
Read and interpret project plans, scopes, and safety requirements
Complete daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and minor troubleshooting
Maintain safe and efficient job sites while meeting project timelines
Collaborate directly with Project Managers and Crew Leads to keep projects on track
Assist crew with selective demo or hands-on work when necessary
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 8 years of heavy equipment operation experience, with at least 5 years directly in demolition
Proven experience tearing down both residential and commercial structures
Strong understanding of onsite logistics, job sequencing, and safe demolition practices
Ability to independently manage equipment placement, debris flow, and task prioritization
Experience loading trucks, separating materials, and maintaining organized sites
Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable operating with autonomy
Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required
Schedule & Benefits:
Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional weekend availability
