Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary:

Performs fieldwork using heavy machinery for remedial construction and environmental site activities. Operates in a high-travel, hands-on construction environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, etc.

• Mobilize to/from job sites

• Verify utility locates and safety protocols

• Perform earthwork, UST removals, demolition, system installations

• Maintain and inspect equipment

• Conduct physical labor and lifting, wear PPE

• Keep detailed field records and safety documentation

Job Specifications:

• Experience:

7-10+ years of hands-on construction and earthmoving equipment experience

• especially with excavators, dozers, trenching , and remediation-related work.

• Certifications: OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred

• Skills: Equipment safety, field documentation, communication

• Travel: 75-100% travel; 35-50% overnight stays

Physical Requirements:

• Must lift 50-100 lbs regularly, work in all weather conditions, and operate in confined spaces

Salary info:

$22 - $30 / hr
