    Glades Talent is working with a respected leader in the construction services industry to hire a Heavy Equipment Service Technician.

    Position Title: Heavy Equipment Service Technician
    Reports To: General Manager / Operations Manager
    Location: Clearwater, FL

    Summary/Objective:
    We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Service Technician to inspect, service, and maintain a fleet of heavy-duty construction equipment. This hands-on role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting repairs, and performing routine maintenance on equipment such as loaders, dozers, excavators, and more. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and capable of working independently at job sites.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions.

    • Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, fluid/filter changes, and inspections.

    • Repair or replace worn or damaged components (e.g., alternators, belts, bushings).

    • Operate and maintain a mobile service truck and crane, if required.

    • Read and interpret schematics for effective troubleshooting.

    • Ensure all tasks are performed with safety as the top priority.

    Required Skills:

    • Hands-on experience operating and repairing heavy equipment.

    • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.

    • Proficiency in brake repair and mechanical alignment.

    • Welding and light fabrication skills are preferred.

    • Ability to use mechanical hand tools and diagnostic equipment.

    • Familiarity with tire service procedures and automotive repair is a plus.

    • Team-oriented attitude and commitment to a safe work environment.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms.

    • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    • Must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

    • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
