    Job description: Heavy Civil Superintendent (Road Construction)

    Location: Greater Orlando Salary: $140,000 – $155,000 + bonuses + benefits

    Our projects typically range from $7M–$8M, and we work primarily with municipalities and counties, following FDOT specifications.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with a strong background in roadway construction (not just site development) to oversee and manage field operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can plan, execute, and deliver projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with FDOT standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee daily field operations on roadway construction projects

    Ensure projects are executed in accordance with FDOT specifications

    Lead, mentor, and develop field staff and crews

    Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and scheduling

    Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety and compliance

    Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documents

    Proactively plan work to ensure efficiency and project success

    Communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders

    Be present and engaged in the field (hands-on leadership style)

    Qualifications

    Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil/road construction

    Strong knowledge of FDOT standards and specifications

    Experience managing projects in the $5M–$10M+ range (or larger)

    Background working with municipalities, counties, or public sector projects

    Proven leadership and team development skills

    Strong planning, problem-solving, and organizational abilities

    Stable work history (prefer candidates with 3–5+ years per role)

    Safety-focused mindset

    Preferred (but not required)

    Experience on larger-scale projects ($50M+), with ability to adapt to mid-sized jobs

    Local to Central Florida
