Our schools are among the most racially and economically integrated in the nation. Our program model weaves together foreign language instruction, personalized learning, social and emotional learning, and academic rigor. Hebrew Public currently manages three elementary and two middle school programs in New York City, with one opening on Staten Island in September 2022, and one elementary school program in Philadelphia. The Opportunity As a Student Recruitment Canvasser, you will work closely with the External Relations Team to support Hebrew Public's student recruitment goals. This position is part time with a commitment of at least 5 hours and a maximum of 20 hours per week. Temp job, likely to conclude in June. Responsibilities Recruiting students for Hebrew Public Schools by: Visiting as many local Pre-Schools, Daycares, and Community-based organizations to share our marketing materials and literature as possible. Minimum of 10 location visits per week Maintaining an accurate log of visits, contact information, and other relevant information about the sites visited. Have a reliable means of transportation to canvass different communities* **Paid Metro Cards will be provided Qualifications A willingness to learn more about Hebrew Public's mission & vision Availability to work during school hours (Monday-Friday 8:30pm-4:30pm) Being comfortable traveling from location to location (Brooklyn, Staten Island, Manhattan and/or the Bronx) Comfortability with public speaking Not a requirement, but a big plus if multilingual COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Hourly rate: $25/hour. Student Recruitment Canvassers must maintain a time sheet of their hours worked and will submit those hours weekly.
