English Teaching Opportunity in Japan (Recruiting in Chicago 10/4-10/8)

Founded in 2012, Hello!s is an English school based in Ogaki, Gifu, Japan with branches throughout the Ogaki and Gifu City areas. We teach afternoon and evening classes to students from preschool to high school ages. Our school year follows the Japanese school calendar, beginning in April and ending in March. Over the course of our 43-week curriculum, our goal is provide students with as much face-to-face time with a native English speaker as possible, while supplementing those lessons with grammar-focused classes led by our Japanese staff. In addition we Our company maintains a staff of around 15-20 full-time and part-time employees. We are currently seeking qualified candidates to bolster our native English teaching staff. All new hires are offered an initial one-year contract with the possibility of an extension based on performance. Below is some basic information about the job itself. If working in Japan and teaching young children is something you're interested in, please contact us for more information! -5-day, 40-hour work weeks; either Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat -located in Ogaki, just a 40-minute train ride from Nagoya -health/dental insurance -approximately 9 weeks of pre-set paid vacation time a year (2 weeks each for winter, spring, summer, plus 3 separate one-week vacations throughout the year) -assistance with housing in an apartment near our main Ogaki branch Duties: -prepare for and lead classes for a range of age groups throughout the day -plan special events throughout the year (holiday parties, English camp, etc.) -help clean and maintain our branches during the work day -assist with recording/editing listening materials throughout the year -help create a positive environment for students and their parents Requirements: -native-level English (no Japanese level required!) -a bachelor's degree -a desire to work with children -energy and a positive attitude http://hellos-english.com
