    Job Description

    Technical Systems Admin / Client Tech Support Specialist

    Our small technology solutions firm is seeking a personable and skilled systems administrator and jack-of-all-trades client support professional. The successful candidate will be able to work comfortably, independently, and creatively in professional, corporate work environments. Additionally, the ability to ‘think on your feet’, maintain composure under pressure as needed, and be able to patiently communicate technical topics to non-technical users. Duties may include server administration, network administration, computer deployment, and end-user support and/or troubleshooting, among others.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
    • Administer, deploy, and maintain virtual environments (VMware)
    • Administer, deploy, and maintain virtual environment backup systems (Veeam)
    • Manage network servers and technology tools
    • Install and configure software and hardware
    • Manage the configuration and operation of computer systems
    • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
    • Set up accounts and workstations
    • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
    • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
    • Troubleshoot issues and outages
    • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
    • Install and test computer-related equipment
    • Respond to and resolve help desk requests
    • Create and verify backups of data

    Qualifications:

    • At least 4+ years in a technical support role.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Strong networking knowledge, including:
      • DNS
      • DHCP
      • TCP/IP
      • VLANs
      • Firewall configuration
      • VPNs
      • Wifi
    • Functional, working knowledge of:
      • Active Directory
      • Email administration
      • Backup software
      • Windows operating systems
      • Macintosh operating systems
      • iOS & Android mobile devices
    • Able to lift 30 pounds

    Desirable:

    • VMWare ESXi experience
    • Veeam Experience
    • Windows scripting
    • CCNA, CCNE, MCSE or similar

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year
