    Job SummaryWe are looking for a friendly and organized Veterinary Client Care Coordinator (C3) to join our animal care team in a beautiful, new, progressive hospital in DUMBO, Brooklyn. We believe in providing a work environment that you will look forward to being in, treating staff like family, and providing a salary that you can live on. We are seeking an outgoing and organized individual to be the Client Care Coordinator at our busy clinic. As the Client Care Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our customers. Client Care Coordinators will assume the responsibility for acquiring the medical and legal information necessary for the performance of their duties. Receptionists must possess good critical thinking and problem solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, follow- through, and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Multitasking is essential and punctuality is expected. You will greet pet owners and check in pets, schedule appointments, process payments, and generally ensure that a clinic is a welcoming place.

    Responsibilities

    Greet owners as they arrive

    Answer and triage phone calls from clients

    Understand vaccinations, basic lab tests, common diseases, and pet behavior

    Check-in animal patients for their appointments

    Collect and confirm pet and owner information

    Maintain proper documentation in the electronic medical record- including ALL conversations with clients (whether on the phone or in person)

    Schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments

    Process payments

    Other administrative duties, as assigned

    Relay appropriate information to/from clients to doctors and/or management

    Assist in cleaning the hospital including but not limited to: keeping reception desk area and lobby clean and sanitary, taking out the trash and recycling, exam rooms sanitized between appointments, bathroom cleaning at least once daily, and cages if needed

    Qualifications

    Excellent customer service skills

    Experience in veterinary field (At least 2 years)

    Effective communication with clients and coworkers

    Comfortable working with a variety of animals

    Proficient in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and other technology
