Responsibilities: • Develop case strategies and locate applicable rules of procedure to support those strategies. • Exhibit confidence and competence while representing clients in highly contested family law cases within the courtroom. • Act as a skilled "dealmaker" to help families reach creative solutions for property and custody disputes outside of formal litigation. • Possess comprehensive knowledge of property division, custody modifications, parenting plans, the Texas Family Code (TFC), and the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP). • Assist clients in evaluating the value of pursuing legal action over minor disputes, demonstrating pragmatism and cost-effectiveness. • Thrive in an environment that balances serious work with a lighthearted approach, embodying professionalism, intelligence, integrity, and teamwork Qualifications: Let's do this! • 3 + years years of experience taking ownership of clients' contested family law cases, including discovery, pleadings, motions, collaboration, mediation, pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and trials. • Texas State Bar License • Strong negotiation communication skills • Possess a commitment to HBLF's core values: • Teamwork • Excellence • Integrity Compensation: $115,000+ depending on experience.
