    Hempfield Behavioral Health is seeking a Program Specialist for Red Tomato Farm (Newville).

    The aim of Red Tomato Farm & Inn is to provide adults with intellectual disabilities meaningful work rooted in farm tasks that create opportunities to interact with the general public and community. With day and pre-vocational programming, we are able to serve a wide population of participants. Our 5-acre parcel of farm land, includes a program building with kitchen and woodworking area, barn and pastures, a greenhouse and raised garden beds and a farm house, which serves as our bed and breakfast and is open to the public. Participants interact with our farm animals, work in our gardens, participate in grounds maintenance, cook in our kitchen and complete various woodworking projects daily on our farm.

    Purpose:
    The purpose of this position is to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the individual support plan so that services are relevant, meaningful, effective, and timely.

    Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree from accredited institution in Special Education, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Social Work or related human services field and 2 years experience working directly with people with disabilities. Must have clean Childline, PA State Police, and FBI Clearances, negative and up to date TB/Mantoux Test, and a valid PA driver's license with a good driving record and no restrictions.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Physical ability to sit in meetings for upwards of 90-120 minutes with minimal complaining
    • Physical ability to feed and clean livestock stall in an emergency
    • Job Duties:
    • Coordinate and complete assessments
    • Participate in ISP
    • Attend ISP meetings
    • Facilitate meetings in effective manner
    • Review ISP content for accuracy
    • Supervise, monitor and evaluate services provided to participant
    • Review monthly documentation of participation and progress towards ISP identified outcomes
    • Reporting participant needs
    • Review ISP with participant
    • Complete documentation of ISP development, review, and monitoring
    • Coordinate services
    • Facilitate training of staff in health and safety needs of each participant
    • Other duties as assigned

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $43,680.00 per year
