Part-time, Internship Hendrick Motorsports, a leading NASCAR Motorsports
operation, is currently seeking a part time Intern for the Strength and
Conditioning Department. This position will report to the Head Strength
and Conditioning coach and work under the guidance of the Strength and
Conditioning staff. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of
nutrition, exercise techniques, and a strong knowledge of physical
training methods to produce maximum performance results. The candidate
would have the ability to manage, motivate, and lead others while
working within an extremely fast paced environment. The position
requires strong communication, flexible work schedule, an excellent
ability to execute and implement, and the ability to travel if needed.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: * Assisting of the
strength and conditioning program in various capacities that include
daily supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program
- Set-up and break down daily training * Assist in repairing broken
equipment as needed * Taking athletes through daily protocols, both pre
and post prehab work, as well as quick feet and agility work * Routine
maintenance and cleaning of the HMS weight room. The ideal candidate
will have: * Credit hours acquired toward a Bachelors degree from an
accredited institution in exercise physiology, kinesiology, health and
exercise science or related field. * Must have a great work ethic *
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel * The applicant
should possess a strong work ethic and a desire to become a strength and
conditioning professional a collegiate or professional environment. *
Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching in a collegiate
setting and experience working in the racing environment. * CPR, AED and
