Job Summary:

As a member of the Finance/Accounting team, the Accounting Specialist will support the accounting functions with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable. The right candidate will be an enthusiastic individual with an ability to thrive in a detail-oriented and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile commodity & feed receipts and confirm pricing on a daily basis
• Collaborate with site managers and materials purchasers on receipt and pricing issues
• Match vendor invoices to reconciled receipts and enter in accounting system on a daily basis
• Maintain commodity & feed cost Excel worksheets on a daily basis
• Assist with commodity costing and inventory reconciliations
• Assist in processing general vendor payables as needed
• Assist in processing AR invoices as needed
• Research, track and resolve accounting or documentation discrepancies
• Collaborate with the accounting and operations teams on internal projects
• Other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years progressive Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Well organized and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
