    Job Description Her Campus Media is seeking a New Business Marketing Associate to join our proposal writing team. Brand name clients, a creative and nimble start-up culture, and sky's-the-limit opportunities for growth make this an ideal opportunity for a talented and capable self-starter interested in joining a fast-growing and profitable start-up at the ground level.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage proposal and RFP response process from brainstorm/conception to final product
    • Work with internal Business Development and Sales Planning stakeholders to plan, prepare, write, design, and produce all proposal and presentation materials for potential clients
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders throughout the entirety of the proposal process to address feedback, answer questions, and provide strategic recommendations
    • Work with internal stakeholders to develop and send regular surveys to our audience communities for robust data and insights that can be leveraged within proposals
    • Communicate and collaborate with Integrated Marketing post-sale team to ensure a smooth transition to execution based on proposal ideas
    • Maintain proposal resources including imagery and screenshots, case studies, client testimonials, production quotes, and more
    • Produce additional pitch and proposal templates and resources based on internal needs
    • Assist with gathering market research and industry trends

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 1 - 3+ years previous experience in proposal writing
    • Creative, strategic thinker; relies on insights and thinks outside the box as it pertains to advertising to ensure successful client marketing results
    • Thorough understanding of how marketing tactics ladder back to client objectives and goals
    • Strong writing and editing, strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines
    • Immaculate attention to detail for flawless creation of materials
    • Quick learner, self-starter, results- and team-oriented and able to work with different personalities and professional styles
    • Up-to-date understanding of the digital media space, influencer marketing and experiential marketing
    • Proficient in Google Workspace/G Suite tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Ideally located in the Greater Los Angeles area
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Communications, or Journalism or a combination of education and relevant experience
    • Previous experience at an agency or digital publisher
    • An eye for aesthetics, fluent in using Google Slides, Canva, and similar tools to do basic presentation layout/design
    • Experience using Asana or other project management software, Slack, and Dropbox
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign and Photoshop is a bonus

    INTERVIEW PROCESS & EXPECTATIONS

    We intend to move quickly to finalize a hire by mid-late February. You can expect four rounds of interviews, including an initial phone screen and subsequent interviews with the New Business Marketing Manager (hiring manager), a group interview with the entire Integrated Marketing team, and a final round with the Her Campus Media co-founders. You will also be asked to submit a work product test during the interview process to demonstrate your design and strategy acumen and understanding of working with our brand
