    This position is based in Boston, MA with a start date in June 2020.

    Her Campus Media is seeking a Community Associate to lead the day-to-day growth, management and development of HCM’s Spoon University Chapter Network beginning in June 2020. This person will play a critical role in growing the Spooniverse and directly support the Community Director in overseeing this important community.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee and directly manage the strategic growth, management and development efforts for Her Campus Media’s Spoon University Chapter Network; work with Community Director to conceptualize and implement innovative programming, resources and incentives for respective communities 
    • Evaluate new chapter applications and oversee contributor onboarding process from beginning to end
    • Collaborate with Business Development and Integrated Marketing teams during the proposal phase of community-focused campaigns by providing program recommendations and thought-starters
    • Execute community marketing campaigns relating to respective communities alongside Community Director and Integrated Marketing team
    • Serve as a supporting point of contact for clients and provide best-in-class campus marketing counsel specific to brand, target, consumer and marketing objectives
    • Write and compile newsletters, reports and surveys for respective communities
    • Manage the social media groups and accounts for respective communities
    • Manage, grow and foster engagement with the Spoon University Alumni Network
    • Update and maintain internal databases with key information for respective communities
    • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 0-3+ years in a communications, community management or campus marketing role
    • Strong interest in community building, campus marketing and the food industry
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Rigorous attention to detail and eye for design
    • Superior organizational abilities
    • Self-starter with go-getter attitude, positive and upbeat nature, and excellent work ethic who doesn’t mind getting his/her hands dirty and is excited about working in a startup environment
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to make decisions and manage relationships
    • Experience with Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube is required
    • Prior involvement with Spoon University is strongly preferred
    • Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Wrike, Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive proficiency helpful but not required
