  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for systems analysis, design, development and maintenance programming on web sites for intranet and internet web applications. Creates content, adapts existing content to a Web-friendly format, creates and maintains the logical structure of the content. Responsible for supporting and integrating collaboration tools across the organization and with external partners. Works with a variety of departments, vendors and others as appropriate.

    • Create, modify and customize software programs, reports and sessions.
    • Troubleshoot issues/problems regarding programming within web applications and make necessary configuration and/or application changes.
    • Research information as needed through documentation, manuals, and online help via Internet.
    • Interface with software vendors to obtain information and support for problems, coordinate systems repair as required.
    • Interface with system users to develop specifications for basic program development.
    • Design, create and update internal and external web pages.
    • Collaborate with corporate staff to promote various internal web application programs.
    • Follow through with requests made via helpdesk, and update status of requests in a timely manner.
    • Document web development projects in weekly status reports.
    • Assist with the training and development of customers.
    • Act as a technical resource for the company.
    • Review development and maintenance project status with management.
    • Continuously examine the processes and systems used in this function to improve the effectiveness and quality of the work done.
    • Perform other related duties as required.

     

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Expertise in current Internet standards, including Web browsers and browser specifications.
    • Experience with managing web site content.
    • Strong background with the Windows and Linux environments.
    • Ability to clearly document all projects and to manage bug reports from staff and customers efficiently.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and support staff.
    • Attention to detail is required.
    • Experience interfacing with third-party APIs and frameworks.
    • Experience with PHP development.
    • Experience with Codeigniter or similar modern PHP Backend framework.
    • Experience with Modern Front End Frameworks such as Vue, jQuery, Angular, etc.
    • Experience with Git or other DVCS.
    • Experience with Web service development (APIs, REST, XML Feeds, and SOAP).
    • Database design.
    • Flexibility and dependability.
    • Knowledge and experience in Object Oriented Programming.

    Required Experience

    Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science and 3 - 5 years of related experience and training / equivalent combination of education and experience. General knowledge of computer technology and computer languages, working skills in system design and development, and basic project management skills are required to perform the duties of this position.
