    The Director, Sourcing & Supplier Relations is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with manufacturer partners in the pharmaceutical industry. This role will oversee the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the company’s reputation and long-term business goals.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Lead the identification and evaluation of potential manufacturers.

    Develop and implement strategies to move the organization toward long-term business goals.

    Establish and manage relationships with manufacturers to support current and future business needs by developing expectations, measuring performance, and building strong business partnerships.

    Identify expansion and business development opportunities, including government contracting, and new products that will drive organizational growth.

    Analyze current partnered manufacturer formularies and identify growth opportunities to support corporate goals.

    Provide regular feedback to executive management regarding the current status and progress of partnerships with manufacturers.

    Serve as the primary point of contact at industry conferences and events, representing the company and advocating for its interests through the development of new relationships and building on existing ones.

    Oversee the negotiation of contract terms with manufacturers.

    Establish and monitor key performance indicators and address issues accordingly.

    Develop departmental processes that support industry standards and recommend best practices.

    Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to provide insights and recommendations to executive management.

    Act quickly and decisively to assess urgent situations concerning supply chain-related issues, and act accordingly to provide immediate attention, correction, and execution of solutions.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business Development, Business Administration, Communications, and other relevant fields. MBA is preferred.

    Minimum of 8-10 years related experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on sourcing procurement, or business development.

    Strong network of industry contacts within the pharmaceutical industry.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with partners.

    Ability to lead and manage communication and collaboration with the team.

    Must be self-motivated and self-directed, able to multi-task with excellent time management skills and decision-making capabilities.

    Excellent relationship-building and networking skills.

    Must have outstanding verbal communication, visual presentation, & writing skills.

    Demonstrated experience with technology (i.e. sales portals, ERP systems, CRM systems, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.)

    Excellent with Microsoft Excel to analyze data and manage accounts.

    Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

    Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, and keep well-detailed notes.

    Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-growing environment and adapt/embrace change.

    Willing to travel to different geographic areas within the U.S. up to 25% of the time.
