    Position Description:

    We are looking for a full time Clinical Psychologist that provides psychological services including therapy and assessments in a private practice setting. Our psychologists provide a wide array of mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults with varying levels of emotional, behavioral, or relational issues. The ideal person for this role possesses superior clinical skills and is able to function as part of a collaborative team of specialized mental health professionals.

    Heritage Counseling & Consulting is a growing private practice with over 17 years of exemplifying the highest standard of clinical counseling and psychiatric care in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. We are excited to expand Heritage into the Austin area to continue our growth and strive to provide this same level of care across central Texas. Our clinical team has extensive experience and provides innovative, evidence-based, and personalized care to adults, adolescents, and children.     Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000

    Start Date: ASAP

    Education/Qualifications :

    • Doctoral degree (Ph.D./Psy.D.) from an APA accredited university in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Interpersonal relationship skills necessary in order to relate to a wide variety of internal and external contacts including patients, families, treatment team, referral sources, other employees, etc.
    • Candidates should be licensed or able to become licensed in the state of Texas.

    Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

    • Participates in weekly team meetings and contributes to discussion on quality patient care.
    • Selects and completes appropriate therapeutic interventions based upon clinical knowledge base and educational background.
    • Provides comprehensive psychological and developmental assessment of children and adults, including ADHD, Psychoeducational, and Personality assessment.
    • Provides individual, family, couples, and group therapies based on the developmental and behavioral health needs of the client.
    • Develops and manages treatment plans for clients.
    • Collaborates with other treatment team members regarding patients’ progress through interdisciplinary team meetings, record review, and informal discussions.
    • Ensures that medical record documentation protocols are complied with in an ethical and timely manner.
    • Assist with coordination of services and community resources as needed.
    • Maintain all state licensure requirements. Build knowledge of current trends and best practices through the use of professional literature, workshops, and publications. Fulfills all required continuing education as required by the state licensing board.
    • Provides training/supervision to interns as needed.
    • Provides consultation services to professionals, hospitals, organizations, schools, or agencies as needed.
    • Assist the Clinical Director in developing clinical programs for the betterment of all staff.
    • Model and promote healthy communication, customer service, and positive representation of the organization.
    • Other responsibilities as requested by the Owner or Clinical Director.
