    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for driving community residents to and from scheduled destinations. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of community vehicles.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Drives residents to and from specified destinations as scheduled including doctor and dentist appointments, grocery shopping, recreational events and other errands.
    • Monitors residents overall well-being and reports any changes of resident status to supervisor.
    • May train CLC drivers, including classroom instruction, CDL competency and orientation to community vehicle(s).
    • May assist with planned activities as directed including
    • Creating and implementing resident centered programs and events.
    • Ensures that Driver and Motor Vehicle policy guidelines are followed
    • Develops, presents and audits reports as directed by Life Enrichment
    • Other duties as assigned.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Six (6) months professional driving of Senior Adults experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of streets in Grand Junction-metro area and ability to navigate to directed destinations required
    • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
    • Must possess excellent customer service skills
    • Must possess a MVR in good standing, preferably a CDL (within the state of employment).
