    PURPOSE: The Training & Development Manager is responsible for developing, directing, planning and oversight for the administration of the companies training and performance management programs. You must be passionate about helping people learn and grow. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential to the success of this role. You will be responsible for conducting & presenting training programs, curriculum development, as well as managing talent and succession planning. You will help our company succeed by training and developing its people. This will be a "hands-on" role. You will report to the Director of Human Resources.

    TRAINING AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop training objectives, strategies, policies and programs
    • Implement training and other educational programs for all levels
    • Conduct Monthly training seminars
    • Manage New employee orientation & on-boarding programs
    • Succession planning - You will help create and deliver programs on leadership and management development (future leaders)
    • Liaise with management to ensure training and educational programs achieve corporate goals & support business needs
    • Implement various learning methods companywide (i.e. manager training, coaching, mentoring, & online training)
    • Management reporting and presentations
    • Help Develop & Track training budget and travel plans
    • Create methods for measuring the effectiveness of training and development programs (adjust programs as required)

    OTHER DUTIES

    CORE COMPETENCIES

    • Strong communication skills both written and oral
    • Superior organizational skills
    • Ability to effectively interact with management of all levels, other members of department and vendors
    • Ability to engage and motivate
    • Project management, time management, and decision-making skills
    • Proven track record of "leading and doing" plus training design, acquisition, and delivery.
    • Experience training via E-Learning
    • LMS knowledge (preferably with SAP Litmos)
    • Storyline 360 experience preferred
    • Beyond – Training Videos preferred
    • Ability to Travel (US/Canada)

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    • 5 years plus training experience
    • Previous Management experience
    • 3-5 years managing talent and succession planning for an organization preferred
    • Environmental, Sales/Service, or Oil & Gas industry experience preferred

    EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OR DESIGNATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field

    SPECIFIC SKILLS

    • Advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, LMS
