About Us:

Our Heritage Program is a vibrant, enrichment-based afterschool program focused on cultural pride, community, and creative learning. We provide a safe and engaging environment for elementary and middle school students to explore arts, academics, movement, and teamwork.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Recreational Co-Leader to help facilitate structured activities, games, and workshops. You’ll work closely with another leader to plan, supervise, and guide a group of 20-30 students in a positive and energetic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Co-lead daily recreational and enrichment activities (outdoor games, crafts, team-building, etc.)

Collaborate with your co-leader to plan and adjust activities based on student needs and interests

Support a consistent routine with clear expectations and positive behavior guidance

Foster a safe, inclusive, and fun environment that encourages creativity and respect

Supervise transitions, snack times, and group discussions with intention and care

Communicate with program staff about student needs, incidents, or supply needs

Help maintain a clean and organized space at the end of each day

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children in a school, camp, or recreational setting

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Creative, flexible, and positive attitude

Ability to engage children in active play and group activities

Dependable, on-time, and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule

CPR/First Aid (or willingness to get certified)

Bilingual or culturally responsive background a plus!

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 12:30 PM -6:00 PM

(Some flexibility or occasional weekend events may be required.)
