  • Responsibilities

    Do you have a passion for research and investigation? We are looking for a Legal Assistant that will support our General Counsel with various research and due diligence assignments. You will be tasked with a variety of support duties that will include preparations for corporate meetings, trials and hearings. You will be responsible for organizing and managing the data and documents collected throughout a case. You will also be responsible for using electronic database management for electronic discovery related to a trial, such as websites, accounting databases, documents, data, and emails. Responsibilities: • Work with In House General Counsel to discuss assigned projects • Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources as needed and/or requested by General Counsel • Research and obtain due diligence materials • Interviews identified parties and prepares summaries of their statements • Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items • Develops and maintains records regarding hours spent on specific projects • Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred; Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies or related field a plus! • Some related experience preferred Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 yearly
