  • Responsibilities

    As a Landscape Irrigation Technician for Heroes Lawn Care in The Woodlands, you'll provide residential and commercial clients with irrigation system services. This will include setting up systems, inspecting and assessing them, optimizing, troubleshooting and completing repairs, and upgrades when necessary. You'll need to identify potential problems and recommend solutions for clients, and ensure all issues are taken care of until resolution. Responsibilities: • Work independently and as a team on all irrigation system installations, repairs, and upgrades • Prepare estimates on-site and present them to customers • Conduct a 35-point inspection of irrigation system • Install or troubleshoot smart irrigation controllers and set up zones for optimal water coverage • Teach customers how to use the system in a friendly manner • Interact with customers, colleagues, and vendors in a professional manner • Follow warehouse and equipment daily maintenance and cleaning standards • Demonstrate expertise in the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems and related components including irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, control panels, valves, pumps, PVB/backflow preventers, etc. • Perform seasonal maintenance of irrigation systems for turn-on and winterization • Learn about other departments to provide backup support • Follow all safety training and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment Qualifications: • At least one year of working experience in the irrigation and associated principles/practices • Proficiency with tools, devices, methods, skills, components, and mechanics of irrigation systems • Ability to operate equipment such as trenching machines and digging tools related to grounds and landscaping • Good teamwork and communication skills • Completion of company-funded training to develop knowledge and abilities Compensation: $15 - $22 hourly
