    SENIOR DESIGNER (M/F/D)

    The Remscheid site is home to one of Lear Corporation's major competence centers for electrical and electronic wiring systems. Here, 160 employees develop and sell innovative and complex solutions for electrical connection technology and components for the automotive industry, among other things.

     

    YOUR TASKS

    • Designing parts, subassemblies and assemblies according to customer requirements.
    • Examine the design, dimensions and tolerances according to drafts or specifications in drawings, take into account production-related concerns, service possibilities (e.g. installation and removal) and space conditions, standardise parts with comparable functions
    • Elaborate drafts in detail taking into account the specified production technology, given materials and technical standards and coordinate them with the responsible authorities
    • Procure and check the necessary design documents, constructively examine the feasibility and function, coordinate or propose design modifications.
    • Further processing of drafts into drawings suitable for production
    • Convert design results into technical lists (e.g. parts lists) taking into account the numbering system and product-specific features
    • Create technical lists
    • Perform calculations for dimensioning the parts and assemblies to be designed based on tolerance analyses
    • FEM-calculations, Moldflow-analyses and evaluation of results, adaptation of constructive solutions

     

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

    • You have successfully completed a technical degree
    • Professional experience in the automotive industry desirable
    • Very good German and English language skills are required
    • Good knowledge of materials and manufacturing technology
    • Good knowledge of the relevant legal regulations, generally applicable standards and guidelines
    • Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
