    We are looking to add a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Team. This position will be responsible for the daily production, P&L, and quality performance of the Shipping/Receiving department. SPECIFICALLY, THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

     

    • Run day-today operations of International Shipping, traffic control, domestic shipping fulfillment which includes marry-up.
    • Conference calls with suppliers/customers, obtain root causes analysis, corrective action plans, share performance metrics, and strengthen business relationships with various internal and external work partners.
    • Lead work teams to meet objectives using established guidelines, procedures and policies.
    • Manage attendance and vacation records for all associates.
    • Develop training plans and ensure all associates meet or exceed corporate requirements as well as provide needed training to ensure the continued success of all.
    • Facilitate open communication among fellow management, team members and supporting groups.
    • Develop associate skills through coaching and development, managing execution and motivating others.
    • Complete special projects related to daily operations within cycle time and quality commitments.
    • Actively participate in problem solving initiatives.
    • Assist in the development and mentoring of subordinate leaders and direct reports.
    • Perform team member rewards and recognitions when applicable.
    • Identify, develop and maintain cost savings and margin enhancement projects.
    • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics/reports to upper management utilizing Microsoft Office tools and legacy systems.
    • Partner with HR regarding policy administration and positive employee relations initiatives.
    • Understanding of Lean principles and application to continuous improvement.
    • Keeping up with daily PPL for direct reports.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Required Skills

    • Prior demonstration of leadership and teaming skills.
    • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills; multi task and detail oriented.
    • Ability to manage on-going diversity within and outside the Bufford Distribution Operations’ structure.
    • Knowledge of R2 system.
    • Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities and execute action plans as needed.
    • Understand production/order fulfillment processes, parts inventory accuracy and associated administrative process.
    • Must have proficient skills in Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to create and modify charts and graphs; ability to construct Power Point presentations.
    • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills required (conference calls, emails, presentations, etc.
    • Excellent organizational and follow up skills.

    Required Experience

    • Minimum two (2) year’s degree and supervisory experience
    • Must have project management experience
    • Prior experience in leadership or management preferred
    • Experience with organized problem-solving environment required
