    About the job

    Our client, whom we will refer to as Confidential Company, is searching for a dynamic and experienced leader to join their company in InsurTech industry in the role of President.

    The President works closely with the CEO, serving as an executive leader of corporate operations for the insurance vertical of the company. The President will be responsible for the overall success and growth of this vertical, overseeing all insurance business operations, and working closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to set strategic goals and objectives.

    The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of executive leadership, strategic planning, and driving sales and revenue growth, and will possess a deep understanding of the P&C insurance industry and market trends.

    Essential functions

    Oversee all aspects of the Insurance business’ operations, including Sales, Marketing, Delivery and Customer Success Management, to ensure the division achieves its financial and business objectives.

    Develop and implement strategies to scale the business, realize business goals, and oversee well established teams.

    Develop and implement high quality, effective business strategies in alignment with short-term and long-term objectives, and the company’s overall mission, vision, and values.

    Develop and monitor revenue metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of revenue strategies and make data-driven decisions.

    Monitor and analyze market trends to identify organic and inorganic growth opportunities, anticipate challenges, and rapidly scales the business to meet revenue and profit goals, irrespective of the changing environment.

    Explore equity infusions and raise capital to fund company growth.

    Manage pricing strategies to ensure profitability and competitiveness.

    Deliver compelling customer/prospect presentations and proposals for development and growth of sales pipeline, achieve Sales Targets and expand customer base.

    Maintain a solid knowledge of the company’s underlying technology, the range of existing products and consulting services.

    Build relationships with key influencers, develop business insight into and have informed opinions on future strategies of key prospect accounts.

    Develop and implement a 3-to-5-year business plan to include organic growth and acquisitions.

    Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors to set and implement the company's long-term vision and strategy, while ensuring strong governance practices.

    Foster a culture of innovation and excellence, inspiring and motivating the teams to identify areas for improvement, and deliver high-quality products and services.

    Represent the company to external audiences, including the media, government officials, and the public, and serve as an ambassador for the organization and its values.

    Develop and implement strategic partnerships to enhance and grow company operations.

    Leverage professional networks to grow the business, developing business prospects and revenue opportunities.

    Identify and mitigate potential risks to the company, such as economic conditions, market trends, and regulatory changes.

    Oversee brand development and the implementation of effective marketing strategies.

    Effectively manage contract negotiations, mergers, and acquisitions while ensuring the accurate performance of due diligence practices.

    Promote communication and cooperation among functions, setting the tone for company culture and creating a spirit of unity in the organization.

    Clearly articulate and communicate company vision to internal and external stakeholders, and manage relationships with them.

    Minimum knowledge skills and abilities required

    Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent business acumen and leadership skills.

    Proven ability to implement organizational vision with meticulousness.

    Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.

    Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets, financial statements, and investor relations.

    Must have experience as an Insurance Producer or in a target driven revenue generation role at an insurance/related business.

    Must have experience working for an Insurance Carrier OR a Broker/Agency OR Technology/Solutions companies catering to the commercial insurance market.

    Must have good knowledge on the broader P&C industry and a clear understanding of the complex business processing needs of the industry.

    Should have a good flair for technology and would ideally be someone who has/had experience with embracing technology solutions.

    Should understand the transformation needs of the insurance industry and be passionate about digital transformation.

    Must be familiar with Consultative selling approaches, relationship management, partner/alliance alignment.

    Must possess demonstrated ability to develop and implement revenue growth strategies

    Strong leadership and management skills with excellent strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills

    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and the ability to deal with ambiguity

    Should have a good network among Insurance Agency Producers and Leaders and should preferably be a part of producer / broker peer groups.

    Must be willing to travel extensively within the US as per business demands (60% travel) and ideally based out of Dallas, TX.

    Strong emotional intelligence to effectively manage conflicts.

    Familiarity with diverse business functions including finance, marketing, etc.

    Strong ethical and professional standards, with a commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability

    Education and Experience required

    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field required; MBA from accredited university strongly preferred.

    10+ years of previous experience in executive leadership and Sales, including leading a company or division with annual revenue of $30MM or more within the InsurTech industry required.

    10+ years of experience working in an international organization (global footprint) preferred.

    5+ years of experience developing, implementing, and executing marketing strategies via trade events, speaking as an industry thought leader, etc. preferred.

    Experience working directly within the Property and Casualty insurance industry is required, preferably as a broker, producer, or executive.

    Proven track record of success in setting and achieving strategic business objectives, building and managing high-performing teams, and driving organizational change and growth.
