    Stamford Health is seeking an energetic, team oriented, PATIENT ACCESS REPRESENTATIVE to join our Laboratory team at 292 Longridge Road!! The PATIENT ACCESS REPRESENTATIVE is responsible for the timely and accurate compilation of patient socio-demographic and financial/insurance data either prior to or at time of service. The ideal candidate will facilitate patient access into the health system and serve as an advocate of patients’ rights for health care issues and insurance coverage. 

    THIS POSITION IS FULL-TIME, 37.5 HOURS

    MONDAY- FRIDAY, 8:00AM-5:00PM

    Required Skills

     

     

    Required Experience

    • Two years of college or 2 years prior equivalent experience in a health care setting. 
    • Computer knowledge and minimum typing requirements of 50 wpm. 
    • Knowledge of health insurance terminology, policies and eligibility are required.
    • Knowledge of clinical terms helpful. 
    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and ability to work with patients, their family and the public.
    • Knowledge of Meditech system preferred.
    • Willing to commute to various offsite locations
