    JOB SUMMARY:

    This position is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls for our patients. This role requires passionate and energetic individuals who are great listeners and can multitask while creating a safe and courteous experience for our patients. The Patient Account specialist will support billing, insurance and other questions from our patients. Supports and contributes to the mission, vision, and values of the company.

    QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

    Education: High school diploma - or equivalent experience Experience: Call Center experience and/or medical billing experience is a plus Skills: Active Listening, attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively and multitask Physical Requirements: This position requires little physical activity and is office-based. May be required to occasionally lift items such as supplies of up to 20 lbs. Requires frequent computer use. A professional ergonomic assessment of the workstation is available as requested, and will be provided at least once annually.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Experience: Prefer experience in the healthcare industry. JOB FUNCTIONS Patient Calls - Making inbound and outbound calls to patients as requested; building rapport by being courteous and friendly. Maintains professional and respectful relationships by presenting Business Office, clinic, physician, etc. in a positive light. Refers all difficult calls/situations to manager. Account Review - Review accounts with outstanding balances or incorrect balances; must be able to multi-task and problem solve Communication - Call Center environment Other - Responsible for additional functions as requested.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • One year certified dental assistant program; or
    • Six months on-the-job experience; or
    • High school diploma and demonstrated ability to assume dental assistant responsibilities.
    • Current dental assistant license is required in certain states.
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of dental records and documentation.
    • Ability to perform basic computer functions.
    • Comply with protocols and standards.
    • Exercise knowledge of dental instruments and terminology.
    • Support shared vision and values.
