    The Member Service Representative answers phone calls relating to authorizations, health plan questions, member questions, physician and medical office staff questions. Writes up member complaints, physician complaints and health plan complaints and forwards them onto the appropriate health plan. Responsible for mailing out various notifications to the members and to the health plans. Knowledgeable to discuss all current events taking place within the PIH Health system.

     

    Required Skills

    • Knowledge of the following applications: CISCO, EZ-CAP, EZ-NET, Vitalsite, MIDAS, Practice Management, Electronic Health Records (EHR), WORD, EXCEL, Rightfax and Jabber.
    • Strong communication skills; strong telephone etiquette; strong attention to detail;
    • Bilingual in Spanish desired.

    Required Experience

    Formal training will be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent; minimum of 2 year’s experience in telephone Customer Service.
