    Performs a variety of tasks associated with the preparation and serving of salads, sandwiches, desserts, supplemental and enteral feedings and snacks using tally sheets and recipes. Logs hot and cold food temps on trayline as well as refrigerator/freezer temps. Delivers meal carts/late trays for patients to nursing station. Performs a variety of cleaning tasks including detail cleaning, washing dishes, and pots and pans. Responsible for stocking and cleaning work areas. Works on patient trayline to include set-up and service as well as breakdown and sanitation. May be asked to do other tasks associated with food service as the need arises. Performs a variety of tasks associated with the  preparation, service, set-up and maintenance of  food,  use of cash register, cleaning of cafeteria line and dining room.

    Required Skills

    • Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control protocols.
    • Ability to use knives, large food production equipment and tools
    • Ability to use cash register and make change.

    Required Experience

    • High school diploma preferred but not required.
    • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
    • Six months experience in food services preferred, but not required.
    • Knowledge of modified diets helpful.
