    Under direct supervision of the Plant Operations and Maintenance (POM) Manager, the MAINTENANCE WORKER will perform general corrective and preventative maintenance of both equipment and buildings throughout PIH Health Hospital and grounds as directed.

    Required Skills

    • Able to work along, organize jobs, teach various skills to others. 
    • Sufficient expertise in specialty areas, plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, to meet staffing needs of the hospital and minimize the need to utilize outside contractors. 
    • Knowledge of material and work procedures used in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and the application of painting and paper hanging.
    • Basic knowledge of computers and smart phones.

    Required Experience

    • High School, GED or trade school graduate preferred with courses in arithmetic, mathematics and electricity. 
    • THREE TO FIVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN GENERAL MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED. 
    • Hospital experience preferred. 
    • Demonstrate competence in electrical mechanical, plumbing, painting and carpentry areas. 
    • Requires a valid California Drivers License.
