Staff Accountant for CPA firm
Primary Responsibilities:
Preparation of weekly payrolls and tax deposits.
Comply with federal and state reporting requirements for payroll.
Comply with state sales tax reporting requirements.
Maintain and balance general ledger accounts.
Prepare bank account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results timely as needed. Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Payroll and General Ledger accounting knowledge.
Experience with QuickBooks.
Effective time management and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.
Must be a team player with the ability to work independently.
