    Job Description

    Staff Accountant for CPA firm

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of weekly payrolls and tax deposits.

    • Comply with federal and state reporting requirements for payroll.

    • Comply with state sales tax reporting requirements.

    • Maintain and balance general ledger accounts.

    • Prepare bank account reconciliations.

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

    • Maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results timely as needed. Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

    • Payroll and General Ledger accounting knowledge.

    • Experience with QuickBooks.

    • Effective time management and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

    • Must be able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.

    • Must be a team player with the ability to work independently.
