  • Responsibilities

    We are in need of a highly organized Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at a Personal Injury Firm located in Colorado Springs, CO, US. The chosen candidate will have the responsibility of overseeing client medical accounts, calculating settlement payouts, and maintaining accurate medical financial records. Responsibilities: • Calculate and prepare settlement distributions to clients and related parties • Review and analyze account balances, including medical bill statements and client payments • Verify and process invoices related to case expenses • Manage and maintain accurate medical bills • Respond to inquiries from clients, lawyers, insurance adjusters, and other parties regarding account balances and distribution • Maintain confidentiality of client financial information and maintain a high degree of integrity • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal assistants as needed Qualifications: • A minimum of an Associate's degree in accounting or finance and/or equivalent practical experience is required. • Previous experience in the legal industry and handling medical bills is preferred. • Must possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial matters is crucial. • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are necessary. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must. • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other legal team members is required. Compensation: $19 - $24 hourly
