We’re a mission-driven company and are looking for a full time Account Executive to join our team of value-driven professionals in the Bakersfield, CA area.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    The Account Executive is a member of our Client Success team. The Account Executive’s mission is to contribute to the success of our clients and the profitability of Hey Salty by completing high quality marketing and communications projects. 

    Our core clients look to Hey Salty to provide them with communications expertise and execution that enables them to grow. The Account Executive should be passionate about supporting both businesses and social good/impact organizations. He or she plays a key role in serving our clients by transforming their communications plans into deliverables, developing content and collateral that engages our clients’ customers and supports our clients’ growth and success.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The mission of the Account Executive will be accomplished by delivering strong, compelling marketing projects on time, and continuing to learn and grow from each project and campaign through the areas of responsibility below:

    1. WRITE: Write persuasive, clear, and personable copy for client marketing projects and campaigns. Examples include, but are not limited to, press releases, email campaigns, lead generators, fact sheets, landing pages, direct mail, social media posts, video scripts, and newsletters
    2. PRODUCE: Provide creative briefs to our Creative & Design Team so they can transform copy documents into finished products
    3. ENGAGE: Integrate feedback to ensure deliverables meet internal and client expectations
    4. EVALUATE: Review and assess the effectiveness of campaigns and projects
    5. LEARN: Seek opportunities for professional development that support the Account Executive’s growth and contribute to the success of our clients and team, including mentoring and coaching from senior team members
    6. COLLABORATE: Support the overall success of Hey Salty and our clients by sharing insights and individual perspectives, and pitching in to complete other duties as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing (or similar) preferred, or 3-5 years’ experience in lieu of a degree

    EXPERIENCE AND VALUES

    • 0 to 2 years relevant experience, including internships or part time positions 
    • Must be an exceptional writer and must enjoy writing.
    • Enthusiasm for seeing small businesses succeed
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including in-person and by phone, email and Zoom
    • Tenacity: Must be a finisher
    • Technologically savvy or familiar with tools like Google Workspace, Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, Zoom, Asana, Slack, Adobe Creative Suite and Mac OS
    • Takes ownership of assigned projects and tasks
    • Ability to be coached and mentored by senior team members
    • Connect deeply with Hey Salty's Core Belief and Values

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to bend, reach, and lift boxes and office supplies up to 30 lbs
