JOB INFORMATION:

HEYTUTOR HAS PARTNERED WITH THE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT IN LOS ANGELES and we're LOOKING TO HIRE 100’S OF TUTORS who can assist in ELA AND MATH, ELEMENTARY STUDENTS AFTER REGULAR SCHOOL HOURS. You will be working with students of all ages between K-5TH GRADE.

You'll be actively supervising students as you help them catch up from learning gaps developed over the past school year.

You’ll be a mentor, a social and emotional supporter by encouraging supportive and positive relationships, encouraging students' motivation and engagement in learning. And, we’ll provide all the training. Just bring your positive spirit and desire to join an innovative and growing organization!

SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday: 2-5pm (10 hours per week)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Tutoring experience (great at working with kids)

• Comfortable working in a classroom setting

• You must be comfortable passing an IN-PERSON background check

• Provide a clear TB test

PAY:

Pay depends on experience and is determined at the time of the interview

RESPONSABILITIES:

• Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment, using curriculum and materials provided by the program.

• Create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging that kids want to be in.

• Support students in making positive behavior choices.

GOALS:

• Make an effort to get to know and connect with each student.

• Interact with students in a responsive and respectful manner.

• Offer students help in achieving academic and social objectives.

• Help students reflect on their thinking and learning skills.
