About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll and Benefits Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing full cycle payroll processes for non-exempt employees, as well as expertise in handling commission payments. This role requires a candidate who can ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll and benefits administration. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred. This is a remote role and will report to our Sr. Manager of People Operations.
What You’ll Do
Payroll Administration:
Manage end-to-end payroll processes for non-exempt and exempt employees, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of wages.
Process and verify commission payments in accordance with established guidelines.
Stay abreast of federal, state, and local regulations to ensure payroll compliance.
Handle payroll inquiries and discrepancies, collaborating with HR and finance teams for resolution.
Partner with the Accounting team to ensure proper GL mapping.
Benefits Administration:
Oversee the administration with the help of our benefits broker of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other related benefits.
Collaborate with our benefits broker to ensure accurate enrollment, changes, and terminations are handled timely.
Educate employees on benefits offerings and assist with inquiries.
ADP Workforce Now Expertise:
Utilize ADP Workforce Now to streamline payroll and benefits processes.
Leverage the system for data analysis, reporting, and compliance tracking.
Stay current with ADP updates and enhancements, implementing new features as applicable.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
Generate and analyze reports to support decision-making and audit requirements.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Implement best practices to streamline payroll and benefits operations.
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, with a focus on non-exempt employees and commission payments.
Proficient in using ADP Workforce Now for payroll and benefits management.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
Experience working in retail or consumer goods.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with other HRIS systems.
