POSITION SUMMARY

This position will report to the Global Business Intelligence Manager as a member of the Hi-Cone Marketing team.  The intern will learn about and assist in key activities of the business intelligence function to support the division’s goal of extending market growth.  Driving reporting capabilities as well as gaining experience developing market analysis will be central to this position.  As part of the Marketing team, the position will interface with other functional groups at Hi-Cone, such as Commercial, Sustainability, and Finance.  

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Internship will require curiosity, willingness to learn new skills, and openness to learning different research capabilities.
• Drive development of standardized reporting utilizing various data subscriptions.
• Taking an assignment, developing a solution, and ensuring that the solution is templated and repeatable in the future will be key for the position.
• Support manager in development of both quantitative as well as qualitative insights, learning how to take information, develop and insight, and deliver to the business using compelling storytelling.
• Assist in developing market insights by utilizing a variety of information resources including industry publications, market trend studies, and reports.
• Position will get opportunity to summarize information from a variety of sources and practice effectively communicating main themes within the business.

Qualifications

• This internship is open to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics or another related field, having completed at least junior year and maintained a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
• Experience with MS Office, especially Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Effective communicator capable of independent as well as team collaboration
• Self-motivated team member committed to timely completion of assignments
• Strong teamwork and collaborative skills.
• Prior analytical analysis experience a plus
• Working knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or other similar business analytics tool/service is a plus
