CUSTOMER SERVICE REP. (MATERIALS DEPT. MANU.)

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

• Process Customer Orders and shipping schedules received via EDI or manual methods.
• Plan and schedule production using PLEX ERP system.
• Actively work to resolve any EDI transmission errors; promptly engaging the customer and/or other departments as necessary.

Manage supplier orders, component inventory, and work-in-process inventory; timing, lot sizes, and min/max quantities (safety stock levels) to achieve optimal efficiency and cost.

• Monitor customer portals on a daily basis for any schedule changes, shortages, violations, and other.
• Assure accurate inventory management via cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
• Actively support efforts to resolve any material shortages or quality issues.
• When necessary, coordinate shipping expedites to minimize customer impact.
• Maintain accurate data and provide hands-on support to the Shipping Department.
• Manage accurate and timely customer “Advanced Shipping Notices” (ASN) reporting.

EDUCATION AND PREFERRED SKILLS

· Two or Four-year degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience

· Plex ERP or equivalent systems experience and training

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Tier one or two Auto supplier manufacturing plant.

· Knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement.
