    Job Description

    SUMMARY: 

    We are looking for an analytical, data oriented and experienced sales professional to drive strategy and lead the company to results as we expand the brand. We are building a national brand of cannabis flower with an existing strong operational structured, backed with strong capital and management. The ideal candidate has a history of quota driven sales success, a strategic mindset to draft and implement best practices within the industry and aware of the cannabis market status and trends. Our team is composed of strong performers who are motivated to build business relationships, elevate the brand and have a passion for cannabis and social change. You must be a self-starting sales professional who can lead and manage an aggressive sales pipeline.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop an annual sales plan in support of organization strategy and objectives
    • Establish sales objectives, forecast and develop annual sales quotas for regions and territories
    • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
    • Project sales volume and profit for existing and new products
    • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
    • Provide strategic insight and guidance to leadership
    • Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on experience, market research and competitor analysis
    • Consistently establish new product distribution channels to increase product sales
    • Build, develop and manage sales team capable of carrying out superior sales and service initiatives
    • Implement and execute sales policies and practices
    • Develop and coordinate sales selling cycle and methodology
    • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results
    • Develop and manage sales budgets and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets
    • Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts
    • Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors
    • Become an expert in all aspects of the industry; gain a solid understanding of competition and anticipate market trends that drive proactive business decisions

    REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 10+ years of sales management experience; a proven track record leading successful sales teams
    • Bachelor’s in Sales, Marketing or Business
    • Experience selling a premium consumer brand; wine, spirits, pharma, or cannabis
    • Proven track record defining and executing a sales and expansion strategy
    • Proven ability to set budgets, manage expenses and forecast accurately
    • Self-driven starter with a high sense of urgency and attention to detail
    • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes
    • Keen market knowledge of compliance and regulation and political climates
    • Exceptional written communication, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Microsoft Suite skills
    • Ability to travel on a regular basis including overnight and some weekend travel
