    About the Role

Maleda Tech is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented High Risk Incident Coordinator to support advanced incident investigations and risk mitigation efforts within a complex digital platform environment.

This role focuses on retrospective analysis of high-severity incidents related to fraud, user safety, and platform integrity. You will evaluate the effectiveness of existing defenses, identify root causes and systemic gaps, and partner cross-functionally to drive meaningful improvements.

This is an ideal opportunity for professionals with a background in Trust & Safety, Fraud, or Risk Operations who enjoy working on high-impact problems, influencing systems-level change, and collaborating with technical and product teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct deep-dive, retrospective investigations into high-risk incidents (e.g., fraud, safety, content, listing, and account integrity)

    • Analyze incident data to identify root causes, patterns, and gaps in existing defenses

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of current risk mitigation strategies and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence

    • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Platform teams to communicate findings and influence system enhancements

    • Support coordination and tracking of remediation efforts across cross-functional stakeholders

    • Maintain clear, accurate documentation of investigations, insights, and recommendations

    • Contribute to internal risk tracking frameworks (e.g., risk registers) and ongoing risk mitigation initiatives

    • Provide actionable insights to inform policy, product, and operational improvements

    • Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives aligned with broader risk and safety priorities

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related field (MBA preferred)

    • 5-7 years of experience in Trust & Safety, Fraud, Risk Operations, or incident investigation roles within digital platforms

    • Proven experience handling high-severity incidents involving fraud, abuse, or user safety

    • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to perform post-incident/root cause analysis and identify systemic risks

    • Experience working in cross-functional environments with Engineering, Product, or Platform teams

    • Proficiency with tools such as Incident.io, Asana, Airtable, or similar project/incident management platforms

    • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), including data analysis and automation

    • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Slack, Gmail, and Zoom

    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify trends across complex datasets

    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, operate independently, and drive solutions to completion

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in large-scale technology or marketplace environments

    • Background in roles such as Trust & Safety Analyst, Fraud Investigator, or Risk Analyst

    • Experience influencing product, policy, or compliance decisions based on investigative findings

    • Hybrid background combining frontline operations + analytical/investigative work

    • Exposure to platform integrity domains such as content moderation, listing integrity, or account risk
