We are Civil Society, an Educational Consulting firm that provides high-impact tutoring to elementary, middle, and high school students. We're currently looking for tutors who can assist our growing number of STARR-approaching students in Houston and the surrounding areas.

As a tutor with Civil Society, you will help students prepare for the Reading and Math sections of the annual STARR standardized exam. Working with Civil Society will also provide you with the opportunity to work with students on other skill gaps in their academic subjects.

Part-time and full-time positions are available.

Training for this position takes place in the Sharpstown area, however, worksite can include but is not limited to multiple districts in the greater Houston area.

You’d be a great fit if you have:

• A passion for education
• A reliable car and a willingness to commute to school(s)
• A minimum commitment of 14 tutoring hours a week
• Strong communication skills
• A professional and positive attitude
• Taught students in a classroom setting
• Bilingual (Preferred but not required)
• Specialize in Algebra 1

• Provide outstanding customer service
• Communicate effectively
• Correctly answer content-specific questions
• Complete a comprehensive training
• Multitask and prioritize independent work
• Track and analyze student progress

What you'll get paid:
Starting at $20/hour along with incentive/bonus opportunities

Job Type: Part-time and Full-Time

Schedule :

• 2-4 days weekly. 8 hours a shift. 1-hour unpaid lunch
• Day shift- 8-4pm

Experience :

• Education position: 1 year (Preferred)
• Tutoring/Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
