Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Biology Teacher and Digital Proctor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore and understand scientific concepts, fostering a love for science and critical thinking skills. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong focus on improving student performance on the STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) tests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging science curriculum for high school students
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support
• Incorporate technology and hands-on experiments to enhance learning
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and curriculum development
• Support students' social and emotional development
• Prepare students for the STAAR tests and work to improve their test scores through targeted instruction and interventions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field
• Teaching certification preferred, but not required
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Passion for teaching and inspiring high school students
• Experience with integrating technology into the classroom is a plus
• Proven ability to improve student test scores, particularly on standardized tests like the STAAR
