The Position: The World History teacher will be assigned 9th and 10th grades and will work alongside other History teachers, as well as English and Theology teachers. The job begins in August and ends in June with possible opportunities for summer employment for an additional stipend.

The first day of the school year for faculty is August 31, 2026. New teachers are expected to attend summer training held by the Cristo Rey Network in July. Expenses for this training are covered by the school.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in History or Secondary Education is required
• Master’s Degree in Secondary Education is preferred but not required
• Prior successful full-time teaching experience in grades 7-12 is strongly preferred
• Able to use technology to further student learning (i.e. Google Classroom, Zoom, PowerSchool)
• Prior experience in Cristo Rey schools, Jesuit schools, Teach for America, Alliance for Catholic Education, or NativityMiguel schools is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits: Starting salary is $55,000. Work experience and education will be considered for compensation. The exact amount is commensurate with experience and benchmarked with our peer local and Cristo Rey Network schools. Comprehensive benefits are included in the overall compensation package.
