Duties

• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students both online and in person high school and/or college in the following subject areas

Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics

Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

ACT/SAT/ASVAB/HSPT

Preference will be given to applicants capable of tutoring humanities courses in addition to the above STEM courses

• Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation

• Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students

• Monitor student progress and provide feedback in session reports to admin, parents/guardians, and teachers

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to align tutoring sessions with classroom curriculum

• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment

• Reliably commute from client to client

Qualifications

-At least 2 years of high school and/or college tutoring experience

• Previous experience working with students, preferably in a high school and/or college setting

• Knowledge of various teaching methods and techniques

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers

• Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
