Summary
HighCamp is a boutique compliance consulting and outsourcing firm helmed by former Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) examiners, Chief Compliance Officers, and proven consulting professionals. HighCamp specializes in regulatory compliance and operational support for SEC-registered private equity, real estate, venture capital, hedge fund, and institutional alternative managers. HighCamp is 100-percent employee owned, with a gender-balanced leadership team. The company has locations in New York City (Metro), Los Angeles, Denver, Milwaukee, Delaware, and Bozeman.
We are seeking an entry-level Compliance Associate to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. This position provides great growth opportunities and exposure to the C-Suite of our clients who we assist with portfolio and operational risks that impact their business.
Responsibilities
Learn SEC regulatory compliance requirements for private equity, real estate, venture capital, hedge fund, and institutional alternative managers;
Travel and participate in client audits with experienced compliance professionals;
Research compliance issues;
Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings;
Learn the skills of client management;
Receive training to prepare policies and procedures and other client deliverables;
Conduct compliance program testing, including review of social media and electronic communications; and
Become skilled in compliance review of marketing materials and websites.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required;
Self-motivated and willingness to collaborate with a team;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent organizational, analytical, project and process management;
One year of relevant work experience at a private fund adviser, regulator, law firm, or other financial services firm environment preferred, but not required; and
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
